Summer Language Camps

For the past 4 years, Dakota Wicohan has offered themed language camps for the youth of the Lower Sioux Community, utilizing language apprentices to deliver the curriculum. Again, using the learners as teachers model. Last year, over 40 youth learned Dakota language and life ways through the theme Wotab!, we all eat! and engaged in traditional gardening, harvesting and eating.
